Forgive the cheesy photo, but I'm so proud that our little park, East Greenwich Pleasaunce, has been awarded Green Flag status by the Civic Trust as proof of its improved quality. In my capacity as Chair of the Friends of East Greenwich Pleasaunce community group, I went up to Liverpool - my home town - to receive the award along with the heads of Greenwich Council's Parks Department. A proud moment indeed.
