Who will I be better off with: Brown or Cameron? That's the admittedly selfish question many voters will be asking themselves come a general election (presuming Gordon hasn't been deposed in the interim). Grand policy statements on health and education may be important but it's how voters feel about the state of the economy, their personal finances and their employment prospects that really matter. So how to the two stack up?
We've had ten years of Brown as Chancellor, widely perceived to have been a resounding success, and one year of his Prime Ministership, widely perceived to have been a resounding failure. So what is the Labour government doing to mitigate the current economic woes? Would Cameron's rejuvenated Tories perform any better?
